SUNDAY SERVICES

11 am Parish Mass and Sunday School

Our Sunday Parish Mass is the focal point of Parish life. Held at 11:00 each Sunday, Mass lasts about an hour.  This Mass is accompanied by choral music, chant and hymns.

Children are most welcome. Every week they can join in with Sunday School for the first part of the service, before rejoining the main congregation.

Mass is followed by tea/coffee or a glass of sherry, and the opportunity to meet and greet other members of the congregation.

WEEKDAYS & SATURDAYS – Low Mass 11am everyday

About our worship

St Barnabas’ is a Church of England church following the Anglo-Catholic tradition of worship. Our style of worship emphasises liturgy, ritual, and pastoral care for the Parish and Community. At our services you can expect to see ministers in robes, servers wearing black cassocks and white cottas, incense, bells, acolytes, and traditional hymns. It is a joyous blend of serenity and celebration.

Children are most welcome to St Barnabas. Sunday School is open to children of all ages. Children begin in Church before being invited to the front for a prayer then retiring to the Church Hall. Here they craft, play, and hear stories which help them learn about Jesus, the Bible and being a Christian today. The children return to the Church during the offertory to enjoy the Eucharist with the rest of the congregation.

You are welcome to join us . Our church offers a place for worship, reflection, thought and friendship.

Everyone is welcome at any of our services – whatever your background, tradition, experience, or interest
